The Nittany Lions returned plenty of their stalwarts from last season, and while some of their Big Ten brethren struggled to get off the ground initially against inferior opponents, they promptly took care of business against Akron. Why coach James Franklin had star running back Saquon Barkley out to return the opening kickoff of the second half with a 35-0 lead is a little baffling, but Barkley is a potential touchdown every time he touches the ball.
