Big Ten men’s basketball weekly roundup: The list of contenders dwindles as the season winds down

As the Big Ten conference season winds down, the conference is just as competitive as ever.

There is currently a three-way tie at the top of the conference standings, with No. 7 Michigan, No. 10 Michigan State and No. 12 Purdue all holding a record of 12-3 in the league.

There is a little more separation in the middle of the league, but there are still five teams that are within four games of each other.

Even the bottom of the table has tightened up, with Penn State improving to 3-12 in the conference.
