Jake Hildebrand had some flashbacks to his college playing days during Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final.
After every Nashville goal scored, over 17,000 screaming Nashville fans gave Pittsburgh goalie Matt Murray the “It’s all your fault,” chant, a staple at Penn State hockey games in Pegula where Hildebrand used to visit as a Michigan State goaltender.
“It was a 20,000 person college student section,” Hildebrand said of the Nashville crowd.
Hildebrand, who is currently a member of the Rockford IceHogs organization of the American Hockey League, knew what Murray was going through after each of the five goals he gave up on Saturday.
