Let’s rewind time and go back to January 5, 2025. Your New Years Resolution was still going strong. Penn State was less than a week removed from a win against Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, earning a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals. And our flaming bus of a basketball team? They were on fire, in a good way. The Lions were 12-2, 2-1 in B1G play, and set to face off against Indiana at the Palestra. The Hoosiers weren’t bad either, sporting an 11-3 record and they were also 2-1 in conference play. Both teams seemed destined to play in the NCAA tournament.
