The University of Wisconsin football team secured a commitment from 2019 prospect Graham Mertz when the quarterback tweeted his intentions to join the Badgers on Sunday night.
Mertz, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound signal caller from Blue Valley North High in Mission, Kan., is unranked by all major recruiting sites.
He took an unofficial visit to Madison the weekend of Sept. 30 and also had offers from Kansas and Minnesota, per Scout.
Mertz became the second commitment in the Badgers' 2019 class, joining Grantsburg athlete Leo Chenal.
