One of Wisconsin’s most prolific prep quarterbacks in recent years knew his days were numbers at the position.
Garrett Groshek walked on at the University of Wisconsin last year after a career in which he accumulated 9,683 total yards, accounted for 129 touchdowns and led Amherst High to a Division 5 state title in 2015.
“I had a good idea that I wouldn’t be playing quarterback all five years,” Groshek said. "I felt a position change coming. I didn’t really care where it was. … I’ve always been a football player, so it’s been kind of, whatever position they put me at, I’ve probably played it once or twice before.
