Legendary rock musician and UW-Madison alumnus Steve Miller served as guest conductor of the Wisconsin Marching Band during the famed Fifth Quarter on Saturday at Camp Randall.
The Milwaukee-native and 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee led the band in a rendition of his hit song “Swingtown,” which was released 40 years ago this month as the third single from the Steve Miller Band’s “Book of Dreams,” one of the band’s most successful studio albums.
