The back end of Penn State’s lineup was feared entering the Big Ten Tournament after a dominant season by the four superstars at the tail of the lineup.
Because of that dominance, none of Penn State’s heavyweights needed to compete in the first round, as they all occupied top two seeds.

Haines’ first match came against Purdue redshirt sophomore Brody Baumann, while Tyler Kasak wrestled right next to him.
It seemed like the two were competing with each other, syncing takedowns and mirroring each other across the mat. At one point, each man had their opponents flattened on the ground, seemingly attached at the hip.
