The Nittany Lions are out of the running for a bid into the Big Ten Tournament after a 68-64 loss to No. 16 Maryland inside the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, failing to create enough momentum despite celebrating Senior Day.
Coach Mike Rhoades’ squad’s 16 turnovers proved to be too much to overcome, with Maryland turning those opportunities into 21 points. The Nittany Lions could only muster eight points off of eight Terrapin turnovers.
