Seasons come and go, but star players leave a lasting impact recognized by teammates, coaches and fans. That theme held true for Penn State in 2024.
After a successful Big Ten Tournament run saw the Nittany Lions reach the title game, Penn State fell to Northwestern in a narrow two-goal defeat. One week later, facing James Madison in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament, the blue and white suffered another heartbreaking loss, this time falling 14-13 and ending their season.
While heartbreaking defeats quickly became the story of Penn State’s season, they didn’t define it. Several players dominated their positions and enjoyed successful campaigns, four of which are highlighted in the end-of-season awards below.
