Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale will conduct an audit of Pennsylvania State University, he announced Tuesday.
The audit will examine a range of issues including the implementation of governance reforms recommended after the Jerry Sandusky scandal, the implementation of policies to prevent sexual assault, compliance with employee background check policies and transparency and accountability recommendations for the university’s board.
The audit also will examine issues such as cost controls and tuition increases, Mr. DePasquale told reporters on a conference call.
He declined to estimate a time frame for how long he thought the audit would take.
