AUBURN — The bye week break apparently didn’t give Auburn enough time to heal much on the offensive line.
Late in the first quarter of the Tigers’ 42-27 victory at Texas A&M on Saturday, Auburn swapped out two players attempting to return from nagging injuries. Head coach Gus Malzahn had said for the last two weeks that getting his team’s “veteran group” back healthy would be critical for a four-game stretch run starting this past Saturday, in which Auburn could win out and take home the SEC West crown.
However, hope didn’t match game time execution as injured lineman failed to contain A&M’s defensive front early in the contest.
