Some of Grant Ament’s teammates were surprised at how much he moved around.
For a player with an injured foot, Ament found his way into every huddle and paced the sidelines in a scooter.
“It’s probably been a humbling role for Grant,” coach Jeff Tambroni said. “He’s never been on the sidelines in that capacity.”
Ament injured his foot after taking a plant step in practice days before the season opener. The junior has never had a long term injury like the one that has sidelined him for the start of the Nittany Lions’ season.
“It’s definitely something I never anticipated nor have ever gone through before,” Ament said.
