In his first season with Archbishop Wood last fall, tight end Kyle Pitts flew a little under the radar with Georgia-bound wide receiver Mark Webb on the outside and the two-headed running back monster of Raheem "Speedy" Blackshear -- a future Rutgers signee -- and Shawn Thompson in the backfield.
But at 6-foot-5, 235 pounds, Pitts cut a physical figure and was able to contribute on both sides of the ball as the Vikings rolled to the Class 5A championship. The offers from Power Five schools rolled in this spring, and Pitts moved up in the recruiting rankings.
