James Franklin had some unfortunate news to share at his press conference on Monday — both offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh and defensive tackle Alonzo Ford are both out with “long-term” injuries.
Both Donkoh and Ford left the Minnesota game with injuries on Saturday and did not return. Donkoh has dealt with injury issues throughout the season, and missed the Ohio State game earlier in the month among early exits against UCLA and Washington.
Donkoh is arguably Penn State’s most valuable member of the offensive line. After taking a redshirt year in 2023, Donkoh has quickly developed as a standout and has been an especially effective run-blocker for Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
