Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher has completed his coaching staff with the addition of Minnesota’s Maurice Linguist as defensive backs coach, according to TexAgs.com’s Billy Liucci.
Linguist was the Golphers’ defensive backs coach this past season, adding the title of assistant head coach last month. Minnesota has on its website that the Gophers signed a Top 25 recruiting class on Dec. 20, giving credit to Linguist for the relationships he has in Georgia and Texas. Minnesota signed four players from Georgia and one from Texas.
Linguist has Southeastern Conference experience, having coached safeties at Mississippi State in 2016.
