After missing most of the Akron game due to an apparent left leg injury, Penn State redshirt sophomore defensive end Shareef Miller tweeted thanks to those who expressed concern for him, and then added that he's fine and plans to play next weekend.
Miller was seen being attended to by the Lions' medical staff following Saturday's first defensive series against the Zips. He was in on a tackle, then headed to the trainer's table, and was not seen on the field again as the Lions went on to route the visitors 52-0 at Beaver Stadium.
The program does not generally disclose injury news unless its of the season-ending variety, and head coach James Franklin was not asked about Miller's status during a news conference following the game.
