STATE COLLEGE -- Penn State assistant athletic director for performance enhancement Dwight Galt had many goals for each Nittany Lion before winter testing began at Penn State back in January.
For Mike Gesicki, one of them was trying to figure out how to keep the tight end fresh and strong from now until the end of the 2017 season, wherever and whenever it might end, after the hulking senior who decided to return for one more season fought to the finish line as a junior.
"Mike is very fast as we know, but in-season, there's just so much going on that he really struggles to maintain all of the gains that he made in the offseason," Galt said on Friday.
