The Penn State football program has had its fair share of solid running backs in the past. For starters, they wrapped up a three-year stint with Saquon Barkley last year as he became the second-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Then, Barkley’s successor Miles Sanders began his third season in the NCAA as a first-time starter.
As expected, Sanders wrapped up the first year as a feature back with some solid numbers. Although he probably would’ve benefitted from returning to Penn State for another year, the young back didn’t want to risk it.
