34 Random Thoughts on Maryland

On Saturday afternoon, the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Maryland Terrapins engaged in a contest of American football at Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania. The Terps emerged victorious, 35-19. I have several thoughts, which are set forth randomly below:

1. Well, the word “emerged” in the introduction here is a bit of a stretch. “The Terps routed the Lions” is a more accurate interpretation.

2. That’s something I didn’t expect to say this year.

3. Or really ever. The Terps should virtually never rout Penn State, particularly coming off of a Cotton Bowl Championship season in which they return significant starters.
