31 Random Thoughts: Penn State Beats Up On Illinois

  1. That first defensive drive was very bad and deserved some level of freakout after the Bowling Green debacle. But credit to Tom Allen and Co. for figuring it out and shutting things down the rest of the way. 2. Shades of the 2016 team? The Penn State defense has only allowed nine second half points this season.
  3. Strong answer from the offense after going down 7-0.
