Three former Nittany Lions make their Paris Olympics debut on Team USA this week.
Matt Anderson, Max Holt, Aaron Russell and the rest of the United States squad head into the Olympics ranked No. 6 in the world and will compete in Pool C against Argentina, Germany and Japan.
Only the top two teams from each pool automatically move on to the knockout stage, so it’s critical for the red, white and blue to get at least two wins in the pool stage. If it were to only get one win, the U.S. could still advance as one of two at-large bids.
