27 Random Thoughts On Penn State Beating SMU & The Fiesta Bowl Matchup Against Boise State
- I’m not one to venture out into the cold for extended periods of time, but I can’t recall the last time I was that cold during a Penn State football game. Maybe Wisconsin 2012 or Nebraska 2013? Either way, it’s been a while.
- I doubled up on socks and even put toe warmers on the tops and bottoms of my feet and by the end of the first quarter, it didn’t matter.
- My frozen toes aside, what a game and what a moment for Penn State football. I know SMU wasn’t the marquee brand name of Alabama or Clemson or someone along those lines, but for a program like Penn State that hasn’t beaten a Top 10 opponent inside Beaver Stadium since 2016, it was a glorious celebratory atmosphere that this fanbase needed.
