With Penn State’s 12th team National Championship in the past 14 championship tourneys already clinched in Session V on Saturday morning, all that remained for Saturday night’s Session VI was to see how many of their 3 Finalists would end up as individual National Champions and if they would be able to propel this year’s team point total past last year’s record.
The Nittany Lions began the session with 169 points. A single win by any of its Finalists would bring 4 more team points, and the NCAA record they set last year was 172.5 points.
