Led by an explosive, but also efficient offense, with former Indiana quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. and wide receivers such as Rome Odunze leading the way, the Washington Huskies finished the regular season 12-0 and went on to win the final ever Pac-12 Championship game, defeating the Oregon Ducks for a second time (the Huskies won in a dramatic comeback victory during the regular season meeting), and securing their second-ever College Football Playoff berth.
The Huskies took down Texas in a CFP Semifinal that literally came down to the final play of the game, and Washington having to deflect a pass in the end zone to preserve a 37-31 victory.
