UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State enters the first day of the new early signing period with 20 verbal commitments, and could receive letters of intent from as many as 19 of those today.
The one exception that appears to be guaranteed is Harrisburg wide receiver Shaquon Butts-Anderson, who reportedly has some school-related issues to address, but plans to formally sign on with the Nittany Lions in February.
Rivals ranks Penn State’s recruiting class as the sixth-best in the country, but it could climb in the rankings if a few prominent prospects opt to head there today.
