For a few hours this past Saturday, football was back in Happy Valley. The final practice of the spring culminated in the annual Blue-White game. You bet your sweet rear-end I got some thoughts.
- Is it bad if my first thought is that spring games are generally pretty meaningless? I don’t think there’s much correlation to good spring = good football team. Not that spring games were particularly open and useful 20 years ago or anything, but coaches seem to have watered them down even more in recent times.
- Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss didn’t even really have a spring game.
