10 weeks later, Mizzou's Porter Jr. still not practicing; return uncertain

COLUMBIA, MO. • It’s been 10 weeks since Missouri’s Michael Porter Jr. underwent back surgery and there’s another five weeks left in the regular season, but the freshman forward still isn’t practicing with the team, Tigers coach Cuonzo Martin said Tuesday.

Before leaving for Tuscaloosa, Ala., for Wednesday's game against Alabama, Martin said Porter's doing "not bad" in his rehabilitation.

"He’s traveling with the team. He’s not practicing, though," Martin said. "He’s doing a little weightlifting here or there but nothing on the floor."

Some photos and videos have surfaced on social media showing Porter recently playing on the courts at the MU Student Rec Complex, but Martin indicated that's more action than Porter is getting with the team.
