Four-star safety Damani Neal (Potomac, MD) took an official visit to Penn State last Saturday as the Nittany Lions beat Indiana, and he raved about the experience.
“Man, that visit was great,” Neal said, via 247sports. “The vibe that the student body gave off was spectacular. They made the game 10 times more fun. The coaches said they were glad that I could make it up.”
However, Neal is far from ready to make a commitment, though Penn State is at the top of his list. Stanford, Maryland, Iowa, Northwestern, and Wisconsin are also in the mix.
“I still have nothing but love for PSU, I'm just not looking to rush my decision,” he said. “I want to take time, take all my officials, and go from there. Penn State will definitely get an official visit from me, I can say that comfortably.”
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder is rated the No. 20 safety in the class of 2017.
