According to Penn State OL Coach Herb Hand, the Nittany Lions have stopped recruiting a player because of his social media presence.
Dropped another prospect this AM due to his social media presence...Actually glad I got to see the 'real' person before we offered him.

Prospects behaving badly on social media is unfortunately nothing new. The first high-profile incident involved the now-infamous Yuri Wright, whose lack of Twitter discretion saw him dropped by the University of Michigan and expelled by his high school. Chat Sports broke the Wright story, and it's disheartening to see that years later, this is still a major issue.
Hand expanded on his decision to 247Sports:
One response to Hand's tweet mentioned that social media etiquette/responsibility needs to become an issue taught in schools sooner rather than later - we couldn't agree more.
