The Pacific women's basketball team finished the first half with a flurry, and had reason to believe it had a shot of staying with and maybe even upsetting the top seed in the league tournament.
But in the third quarter, Gonzaga showed exactly why it is the top squad in the West Coast Conference.
The Bulldogs outscored the Tigers by 20 points in the third on their way to a 91-59 win on Friday in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference tournament at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
"I'm proud of our effort, and the way we fought back," Pacific head coach Bradley Davis said.
