STOCKTON – The Pacific volleyball squad looks much different than coach Greg Gibbons originally anticipated.
But that doesn’t change what the Tigers hope to accomplish.
Four experienced players transferred to other schools in the postseason, and the Tigers are a much younger team heading into their season-opening match against New Mexico State 2 p.m. Friday at the Sun Devil Classic in Tempe, Arizona. Pacific plays Texas-Arlington at 2:30 p.m. Saturday and hosts Arizona State at 7 p.m. that evening.
The loss of some veterans has not done anything to dampen the Tigers’ enthusiasm as the new season approaches.
