Women's Water Polo Adds Brazilian Olympian Mariana Duarte

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's water polo program announced that Brazilian Olympian Mariana Duarte will join the program for the 2067-17 season.

Duarte, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, competed in the Olympic Games in Rio this summer, where she played in six games, and scored against the United States and Australia. She also earned a start against China.

"Mariana is a perfect fit for our women's water polo program," head coach James Graham said. "She has proven to be a tremendous shooter against the best goalies in the world and her Olympic experience will help our young team rise to new heights.
