Women's Swimming Leads After Day 1 of Pacific Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. – The men's and women's swimming teams had a very successful first day of the Pacific Invitational, which took place at Chris Kjeldsen Pool on Friday night.

Following the eight events — 200 Medley Relay, 100 Back, 100 Breast, 200 Free, 400 IM, 50 Free, 200 Fly, 400 Free Relay — the women's team leads San Jose State, BYU, and Fresno Pacific with a total of 398.5 points. On the men's side, Stanford tops the standings with 510 points followed by the University of Denver (334.5), Pacific (285.5), BYU (202), and Fresno Pacific (134).

"We swam awesome on the first day of the meet and I am proud of how we competed especially in tonight's relays," said head coach Peter Richardson.
