Women’s Soccer Falls to No. 18 UConn

Storrs, Conn. – No. 18 UConn proved to be too much for the Tigers as they took the 1-0 victory over Pacific Friday afternoon. Goalie Lena Perry logged a career-high 16 saves against the Huskies, who registered 31 shots in the game.

In what would have been a historic upset, the Tigers fell just short of earning their first win of 2016. UConn got on the board early when Tiger goalie Lena Perry blocked a shot but couldn't smother the ball; allowing the deflection to trickle to forward Stephanie Ribeiro who was able to tap it in for the first score of the day and the eventual difference maker.
