Women's Hoops Topped By Santa Clara

STOCKTON, Calif. - GeAnna Luaulu-Summers scored 12 points while Callie Owens added 11, but Santa Clara topped the Pacific women's basketball team, 61-51, Thursday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

The Tigers suffered through two scoring droughts, as Santa Clara used a 15-2 run early to establish a double-digit lead, and a 12-0 run in the third quarter after Pacific pulled within four to make the Tigers play catch-up the remainder of the game.

Pacific forced 21 Santa Clara turnovers and turned them into 24 points, but the Broncos took advantage of 19 Pacific turnovers, leading to 24 points of their own, curtailing the Tigers' game plan.
