STOCKTON – Missed opportunities.
An overtime loss is always frustrating, but Sunday’s 80-76 exhibition loss to Chico State stung a little bit as Pacific missed many opportunities throughout most of the game.
Late in the first quarter, Mauriana Clayton made a pair of free throws to draw the Tigers within 18-17. Only one more time in regulation did a Pacific player make two free throws, and three times the Tigers failed to convert a three-point play while going 0-2 from the charity stripe twice, finishing 13-26 from the line.
“This is a little bit of a focus check,” Tigers head coach Bradley Davis said.
