STOCKTON, Calif. - Members of the Pacific women's basketball team visited Tully C. Knoles Elementary School on Oct. 13th and 17th to take part in the Pacific Read to Win program.
Savannah Sumsion and Anaya Brooklyn McDavid both participated in the event and read to the students of Mr. Musto's 2nd grade classroom, and Sumsion fittingly read the book Powercat: The Pacific Tiger.
Read To Win is a children's literacy program for students various schools throughout Stockton. Pacific student-athletes have partnered with Lincoln Unified School District to serve as positive community role models with the hopes of adding excitement to reading and helping children develop a lasting love for literature.
