STOCKTON — The University of the Pacific’s women’s basketball team wasn’t certain it would make the postseason, but the Tigers kept on practicing.
It was a good decision.
Pacific earned an at-large berth into the 22nd annual Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) tournament, and will begin the postseason on Wednesday at Fresno State. A starting time was not announced on Monday.
This is the sixth time Pacific has been invited to the WNIT, and its first since 2015. The Tigers (18-12) were sixth in the West Coast Conference, and last weekend finished up the WCC Tournament by making it to the quarterfinals.
