Williams, Wallace pace Tigers' win over Wyoming

STOCKTON — Jack Williams scored 17 points and T.J. Wallace scored 16 to lead the Pacific men’s basketball team to a 73-65 win over Wyoming on Tuesday at Spanos Center.

Neither team shot well but in the closing minutes of the second half, the Tigers (2-2) made more clutch plays than the Cowboys (3-1).

Wallace might have turned in the biggest play when he regained control of his dribble with his quick hands and hit a 3-point basket from the top of the key with 1:22 left to give Pacific a 68-62 lead.

“Plays like that are the result of playing hard,” said Wallace, who made 6 of 11 from the floor, including both of his 3-point attempts to go with four steals, three assists and three rebounds before he fouled out with 21.
