STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific volleyball team announced the addition of Hanne De Schrijver, a setter from Belgium, as De Schrijver signed a National Letter of Intent on Thursday.
De Schrijver, a 5-10 setter from Serskamp, Belgium, plays in the highest women's division in Belgium, with VDK Gent in Belgian Liga A. VDK Gent finished second last season and participated in the CEV Cup, the competition of the top clubs throughout Europe, where they beat VC Sneek before losing to Galatasaray in the second round.
Currently, VDK Gent is in fourth in Liga A, but is expected to be among the contenders for the league title.
