SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Wouter Verstraaten has been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the conference announced this morning.
Verstraaten logged two game-winning goals over the weekend to help Pacific cap off a perfect 2-0 JMU Invitational. On Friday against Virginia Tech, Verstraaten scored in the 83rd minute to put Pacific up 1-0 as he brought the ball up the left side and punched it in for the score. On Sunday against James Madison the Tigers were tied 1-1 after trailing since the 19th minute when Verstraaten tapped it in past the keeper in the 85th minute to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead and the eventual victory.
