Stockton, Calif. - Nate Verlin was announced as a part of the West Coast Conference's All-Academic Team today. It was the first year that Verlin was eligible to be a part of the All-Academic Team. Pacific had two players, Cory Popham and J.P. Yakel, make the All-Academic Team last season.
This year, Verlin was one of four Tigers to hit over .300, sitting at .301/.352/.388. Verlin scored 25 runs and drove in 26 to finish third on the team in RBI. He hit his first career homerun on April 5 against Fresno State in a game that he drove in five runs.
