SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - In the last track meet of the season, the Pacific Track and Field team saw strong showings from freshmen Jasmine Gonzales and Emma Winkler as they set records and recorded new personal bests at the West Coast Last Chance Open held at Cox Stadium in San Francisco.
Both Gonzales and Winkler participated in the 5000m race and posted new records and personal bests during Saturday's meet.
Gonzales set a new freshman record for the 5000m race finishing in seventh place with a time of 17:54.89, which beats the previous freshman best by almost a full minute that was set last season with a time of 18:50.
