Townes Double-Double gives Tigers 76-65 win over Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - A second half surge helped the Tigers log their second win in three games as Pacific topped Portland 76-65 at the Chiles Center Thursday night, giving Pacific its first win at Portland since 1989. Anthony Townes led the Tigers with 18 points and 16 rebounds (a career-high) en route to his fifth double-double of the season, and Tonko Vuko added a season-high 12 points.

Townes' is the first Tiger with at least 15 boards since 2011, when Sam Willard pulled down 18 against Cal State Bakersfield.

"The contributions from everyone was big," said head coach Damon Stoudamire.
