STOCKTON - Anthony Townes had his first double-double with the Pacific men's basketball team against Rider last Saturday at Stockton Arena.
The sophomore forward from Modesto Christian High had a career-high 12 rebounds and 11 points in the Tigers' 73-66 loss, Pacific's third setback in a row entering the second game of its seven-game home stand against North Carolina A&T at 7 p.m. today at Spanos Center.
Townes, who stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 215 pounds, is a high-energy player off the bench for coach Damon Stoudamire, who said effort and energy are what the Tigers need to bring tonight.
