STOCKTON — Jahlil Tripp wouldn’t call it a ritual. But every day he takes a moment to reflect on what he’s been through, where he is and how lucky he is to be able to play the sport he loves.
Tripp’s dreams of playing college basketball was almost shattered during his junior year in high school, when, within a month, he was wounded in one leg in a random shooting and broke his other in a game. But he never gave up, relied on the support of his family and now is an emerging leader for University of the Pacific.
