STOCKTON, Calif. – After a late start, the University of the Pacific baseball team fell in game two of the series against the University of San Diego, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers fall to 7-15 overall and 0-5 in conference action, while the Toreros improve to 12-11 on the season and 3-2 in West Coast Conference play.
After five scoreless, the bats started to fly but in favor of USD. At the top of the sixth with one out, Jeff Houghtby hit a single to left field to start things off for the Toreros. Garrett Calvert followed suit with a single to right center to advance Houghtby to second.
