University of the Pacific’s young volleyball team came up with a big day in Arizona.
The Tigers won twice at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Ariz, beating San Diego State 3-2 and Lipscomb 3-1.
In their opener, the Tigers (3-2) bested the Aztecs 19-25, 25-18, 25-16, 22-15, 15-9. Riley Ramsey had 18 kills and a sparkling .485 hitting percentage, Kaitlyn Lines had 15 kills and Riley Patterson had 13, and Jadyn Tubbs had 28 digs .
Pacific rallied after losing the first game to beat the Bisons 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22. Lines had another fine match with 18 kills and four aces, Patterson had 17 kills, Lauren Cline and Allison Dennemann had 10 kills each and Gabby Leo had 31 assists.
