Pacific men's tennis (6-15, 3-5 WCC [7th]) continued to build down the stretch today with a 4-1 win over Portland (7-13, 2-6 WCC [9th]).
The Tigers went down a point after doubles but got four-straight wins in singles to climb get their second-straight win and go to 2-0 on the weekend with one match to play. The Tigers win moved them into 7th in the WCC standings, they're just one spot out of sixth, which is the last place to qualify for the WCC Championships in two weeks. Pacific is 3-5 in the WCC this year while Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara are all just ahead of them at 4-3.
